Our Parish Mission Action Plan tells you what we believe how God is leading us to develop over the next few years. Growing in Faith, Extending God's Kingdom Help church members to share our faith in the Lord. - Build up confidence in the congregation to share their faith with others. Invite faith sharing teams to come to the parish.
- Pray regularly for others who we know to grow in faith, become Christians. Use the CMS candle idea to continue to pray regularly for those on our heart.
- Put on regular guest services in church so that parishoners can invite friends/ family to these special services with a clear message about knowing God. Could use 5th Sunday services for this.
- Encourage church members to develop a love for discipleship through the Bible study, and prayer, homegroups, retreats and conferences.
- Strengthen our connection with the world church through a parish visit to Argentina 2009.
Empower a faithful younger generation - Strengthen discipleship in youth and children. Find a way of employing a youth worker to co-ordinate and develop youth work.
- Reach un-churched youth ~ consider itinerary work, a centre
- Recruit more younger members to be active in parish life
- Encourage children to be active for Christ, live out their faith TODAY
- Pray for God to raise church members, including ordinands
- Build up a team for primary school assemblies
Nurture faith in our community life. - Develop St Mary’s as a place for community activity and encourage more use of church halls
- Build on our bereavement course
- Celebrate the bicentenary of St Cadoc’s.
- Make progress on making St David’s a place of regular prayer & worship, improve heating system, toilets.
- Expand the use of the parish office, train volunteers.
- Improve St David’s cemetery
- Continue to encourage parishoners from our 3 churches to worship & socialise together.
- Allay any concerns and fears as a result of the Vicar moving to live in Resolven
