We want to share the sense of God being amongst his people.  We visit people who live locally, and on Saturdays offer prayer at our local market in Rheola (following the pattern of Healing on the Streets).

Visiting

If you would like a visit from the Vicar, or one of the team of parishoners who assist, then please contact the Vicar.

We can come for a chat, for a service of Communion, to pray with you and we'll do our best to give assistance where we can.

Some of our congregation have been trainined in counselling skills and the Vicar is happy to help you connect to someone who might prayerfully help you through issues or put you in contact with others who can offer support.

Healing on the Streets
Healing on the Streets is a ministry that had been running since October 2009, where a group of Christians go into our local Rheola market twice a month on a Saturday market and offer prayer to the public. The team have been trained as part of the Healing on the Streets initiative from Causeway Coast Vineyard church, Coleraine, Northern Ireland, who have witnessed many people being healed, refreshed and restored by the Lord.
What we do
Twice a month we set up a ’stall’ at the market from 10am until noon. We have a large banner with the words Healing / Iachâd logo suspended on a pole, and visible all around the market. Having prayed the Lord would be with us and we would be inspired by the Holy Spirit, we simply invite passers-by to come and sit with us and we chat and pray with them. It is a very gentle ministry and people aren’t put off from our approach. Our leaflets explain what we do:
“Whether it is for you, a family member or friend we will be ready to pray with anyone who is sick, unwell or suffering from any injury because we believe that God loves you and can bring healing in body, mind or spirit. If there are physical troubles, problems in relationships with others, or if you are feeling bad in yourself, we’d love to pray for your healing right now or when you are next here.”
While we pray, there is a small CD player playing worship music quietly and we believe that God loves everyone and delights to show His love to people through healing them and touching their lives. We have no power ourselves but know that Jesus can and does heal today. Contact us for more information for when we are next at Rheola or join us in one of our evening services in church.
